HOW TO DONATE

Chihuahua Rescue Queensland is a registered charity with all donations of over $2 being tax deductible.

The majority of our funds are spent on veterinary care for the foster dogs and we spend on average $5000-$10,000 or more per month on veterinary bills alone. The average amount of money spent on each dog in care is approximately $500-$600, with some dogs requiring thousands of dollars in veterinary care in order to save their lives. Our adoption fees will never cover our costs and we rely heavily on donations in order to continue the work that we do. We deeply appreciate all donations we receive and if you can help in any way there are some donation options below.

The majority of our funds are spent on veterinary care for the foster dogs, so all donations of material goods (both new and pre-loved) are appreciated and gratefully accepted. Get in touch and we can let you know a place closest to you where we can accept donations.

  • Metal and canvas dog crates

  • Metal, plastic or canvas dog or kiddy play pens

  • Soft dog beds

  • Harnesses, collars and leads suitable for small dogs

  • Dog toys - particularly enrichment toys such as Kongs, Busy Buddies and similar treat balls

  • Royal Canin dry food - Small Dog, Mature or Chihuahua varieties

  • Comfortis and Panoramis flea and parasite prevention tablets

  • Advantage, Advantix, Advocate, Revolution and similar flea prevention products

  • Nexgard and Bravecto tick prevention products

  • Drontal, Milbemax and similar worming tablets

  • Proheart, Heartgard and other heartworm tablets

ITEMS FOR AUCTIONS, RAFFLES & OUR EVENT STALLS

Auctions, raffles and events are all ways that we can help spread rescue awareness and are a fun way to connect our chi-community and raise much needed funds to support our rescue. Donating products or services for one of these is a unique way that you (or your business) can support CRQ. Popular donations include:
